Base Ball...

Outside of lassie league I have only been to one other pro base ball game... And so while we were in Seattle we went to a Mariner's game and watched the Mariners beat the Red Sox's!

Me... Wrinkled and tired... We flew down from Anchorage, landed in Seattle, got to the hotel and caught the tram thing to to Safe-Co Field... Needless to say I was exhausted but it was warm and sunny.. and smelled fantastic.. those Garlic Fries!! WOW!

So in order for my baseball experience to be complete it was necessary to partake in warm peanuts and cold beer.. and both were REALLY good! The pretzel and nachos were both yummy... (I am getting hungry just thinking about it)
There were more people in the stadium then there are in the entire Kenai Peninsula. It seats something like 70,000 people...which just astounds me...

The beer and peanuts guy... one of my favorite people...

So I got some really great seats online. We were just behind 3rd base but far back enough that we were not in the sun... which was good or I would have been a crispy critter.
But in order to get such great seats we ended up on the visitor sides.. and sat with a whole bunch of Red Sox fans... So we were a little out of place chanting and cheering for the Mariners... but there were a couple other Mariners fans so we banded together and tried to drown out the Red Sox fans.
We could hear my father in law screaming at the baseman.... and called on the phone to tell him that we could hear him....
It was a great day and a wonderful experience made all the better by the fact that the Mariners WON!!
